A fast-growing commercial real estate investment company is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Part-Time Video Editor to join its virtual marketing team. This remote role supports the company’s mission to educate investors through compelling video and audio content. What will you be doing in this position?
- Edit and enhance weekly YouTube videos, including shorts, long-form, and educational webinars
- Insert B-roll, transitions, animations, and branded graphics to improve viewer engagement
- Create custom thumbnails aligned with brand identity and best practices
- Perform podcast audio editing: cleaning, noise reduction, adding intro/outro
- Write YouTube descriptions, titles, tags, and show notes with SEO in mind
- Ensure consistency in visual and audio branding across platforms
- Repurpose content into micro-clips for social media
- Coordinate with marketing lead to implement creative strategy and content calendar
What do we need from you?
- 2+ years of professional video editing experience
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software
- Familiarity with YouTube Studio, SEO, metadata best practices
- Working knowledge of podcast editing tools (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition)
- Ability to deliver high-quality content with minimal supervision
- Creative eye and passion for improving educational content delivery
- Experience with remote collaboration tools like Slack, Trello, or ClickUp
Your typical workday and workweek…
Typical Workday
- Receive weekly assignments from the marketing lead
- Edit raw footage and audio files into polished deliverables
- Post content on YouTube and podcast platforms (when required)
- Meet for regular check-ins and feedback sessions via Zoom or Google Meet
- Submit deliverables for review and iterate as needed
Typical Workweek
- Approx. 10–20 hours per week, with flexibility based on content volume
- One video per week minimum, with potential for more as the brand scales
- Weekly check-in meeting with team lead (15–30 minutes)
