We are seeking two temporary Loss & Recovery Specialists for a 3-month term, with the possibility of extension. This role focuses on recovering withdrawn cases by contacting patients, attorneys, and insurance providers. The Loss & Recovery Specialist will manage case documentation, verify coverage, and coordinate with multiple departments to maintain accurate case flow.

What will you be doing in this position?

  • Review and process withdrawal letters promptly; update the Master Sheet and patient records accordingly.
  • Contact patients to confirm new legal representation or verify insurance coverage (Med Pay or PIP).
  • Request police reports, insurance details, and other necessary documentation from attorneys or patients.
  • Document all communications thoroughly and maintain accurate case notes in the system.
  • Collaborate with the Reductions Department as cases transition to lien reduction status.
  • Coordinate with Accounting to confirm payment receipt when cases are resolved.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and timeliness.

What do we need from you?

  • Prior experience in personal injury case management, insurance claims, or legal support preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Persistent, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver.
  • Comfortable working remotely with self-discipline and accountability.

Your typical workday and your performance evaluation will be based on…

  • Daily Tasks:
    • Review incoming withdrawal notifications and update case files.
    • Contact patients, law firms, and insurance companies for case verification and document collection.
    • Update case tracking systems with communications and new information.
    • Coordinate with internal departments regarding case status changes and payments.
    • Participate in virtual team meetings and training sessions as scheduled.

  • Performance Evaluation & KPIs

    • Accuracy and timeliness of case updates and documentation.
    • Success rate in confirming new legal representation and insurance coverage.
    • Communication responsiveness and professionalism.
    • Collaboration with internal teams to ensure smooth case transitions.
    • Ability to meet daily and weekly case recovery goals.
