We are seeking a highly skilled remote paralegal to support one of the partners in the family law department. This position is ideal for a motivated legal professional with a strong background in family law who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at working independently.

What will you be doing in this position?
- Draft, review, and file legal documents including petitions, responses, declarations, discovery requests/responses, and other pleadings.
- Assist with case management, including organizing and maintaining client files.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, court hearings, and mediations.
- Conduct legal research relevant to family law matters.
- Communicate with clients regarding case status, required documents, and deadlines.
- Prepare and review financial disclosures and discovery materials.
- Manage and maintain client confidentiality at all times.
- Support the attorney in trial preparation, including preparation of exhibits and trial binders.
- Maintain case calendars and ensure timely submission of all filings.
What do we need from you?
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus in family law.
- Strong knowledge of Florida family law procedures and court systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software.
- Familiarity with Florida court e-filing systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Your typical workday and workweek
Typical Work Day
- Review new client tasks and ongoing case developments.
- Draft pleadings and correspondence.
- Communicate with clients via email or scheduled virtual meetings.
- Coordinate with courts and opposing counsel as needed.
- Update legal files and manage case deadlines.
Typical Workweek
- Approximately 20 hours per week.
- Flexible hours with availability during standard business hours (EST Time) for scheduled meetings and time-sensitive tasks.
